The Village of Ravena Fire Department will be hosting an open house on Saturday April 13, 2024. Department personnel will be at the firehouse to speak to any prospective members. We will be actively recruiting for firefighters, apparatus driver/operators, and Fire Police Officers. We will be looking to recruit the next generation of firefighters. We are looking to expand our Junior Firefighter Program (ages 16-18) and also introduce our new Fire Cadet Program (ages 12-16).

There is a dire need for volunteer firefighters of all ages. The Harris Hill Volunteer Fire Company is looking for new members, starting at age 18. If you are interested in becoming a member, the first step is to fill out the online application at www.hhvfc.com or stop by the Harris Hill Fire Company on April 13th starting at 10:00 AM.
For those who are ages 14 to 17, we are always accepting youth to our Junior Program. If you are interested in the fire service and ready to learn firefighting basics, you can stop by the firehouse on April 13th starting at 10:00 AM to learn more. This is a great program to get you ready to become a member of our dedicated team.
Our Exempt’s Organization is also sponsors a “Shred It” event. The community can bring paper documents that they would like to dispose of securely to our firehouse at no charge. A donation would be appreciated.

As the Professional Fire Fighters of Campbell Hall, we are dedicated to the continued excellence of life safety, fire suppression, education and community involvement. We affirm our loyalty to our members, our profession and to the citizens we serve. Campbell Hall Fire Department proudly protects approximately 5,500 people living in an area of 27 square miles. The Department rests in the center of the town. The surrounding area is predominantly agricultural/rural/residential with some local businesses. Membership in the department is on a volunteer basis. Of the membership, approximately 65 members are active. Of these 65 members, some are trained EMT's (emergency medical technicians) and CFR's (certified first responders) while others are interior qualified structural firefighters and some are strictly exterior operations firefighters.The members respond to a variety of calls ranging from public service calls to structural fires. The majority of calls responded to are medical or MVA (motor vehicle accident) in nature.

There is a dire need for volunteer firefighters of all ages. The Nanuet Fire Department is looking for new members, starting at age 16. For those who are ages 14 to 16, the Rockland County Explorers Post is also accepting members. On Saturday April 13,2024 the St. James Fire Dept. will be hosting a recruitment open house from 10AM to 2PM at the Jefferson Ave. firehouse(corner of Woodlawn Ave.). Throughout the day, the Lansing Fire Department members will conduct tours of the station and full viewing of the fire trucks, ladder truck and rescue trucks, allow visitors to try on gear, demonstrate firefighting activities, provide information, and address questions on becoming a member.
Volunteer firefighters will also be on hand to discuss the requirements and rewards of joining. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, including families. Neriton Volunteer Fire Company #9 is the volunteer component of the Ithaca Fire Department, a combination department of career and volunteers serving the City and Town of Ithaca.
Company 9 is seeking volunteers to serve as Fire Police to provide traffic control and scene support to IFD as well as support for various community events requiring traffic and crowd management assistance.
We are holding two recruitment events in April:
On Saturday April 13, 2024, we will be hosting a recruiting event at Central Fire Station -310 West Green Street from 12- 2 pm in conjunction with the FASNY (Firefighters Association State of New York) Volunteer recruitment weekend.
On Saturday April 20, 2024, the EAGLES CLUB on CECIL MALONE DRIVE will be hosting and serving a barbeque chicken dinner from Noon to 2pm to benefit the Co. 9 Fire Police Unit. Dinners are $12.00 and include 1/2 Chicken, plus sides and dessert. Tickets are available at the Eagles Club or you can email IFDVolunteer@cityofithaca.org to order tickets – (include your name and contact phone number in email orders). Tickets will be available for sale at both events.
Members of the company will be available to provide information about becoming a volunteer with IFD and serving as a member of the Fire Police Unit. The Fire Police Vehicle 947 and equipment used by the Fire Police will be on display at both events.
